Ruth A. Burlage, 78, of Kieler, Wisconsin, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at Agrace Hospice in Madison. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2018, at Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Friday at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center where the parish rosary will be at 2:45 p.m. Friends may also call from 9-10:15 a.m. Saturday at the church before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth was born on March 9, 1940, in Hazel Green Township, Wisconsin, the daughter of Melvin and Rita (Timmerman) Jansen. Her husband of 57 years, Richard F. "Dick" Burlage, preceded her in death on December 2, 2017. Ruth worked at Kendall Hunt Publishing for 32 years; starting as a secretary and retiring as Vice President of Production.

Survivors include two daughters, Lisa (Mark) Pettera, of Prairie du Chien, WI and Michele (Dan) Ironmonger, of Oregon, WI; two sons, Kirk (Tricia) Burlage, of Oconomowoc, WI and Tim (Kim) Burlage, of Madison, WI; her sisters, Mary (Jim) Rettig, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Lyn (Bill) Wagner, of Sun City West, Arizona, and Elaine (Jim) Droessler, of Cuba City; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers- and sisters-in-laws, Ed Hendricks, of Hazel Green, Harry Burlage, Mary Jo Burlage, Jody and Orv Brothers and Jim "Moose" and Joan Burlage, all of Kieler.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Brian in 1971; her parents; and her brothers- and sisters-in-law, Jeannie Hendricks, Jan and John Smith, Tom Burlage and Jack Burlage.
