Pearl K. Banfield, 99, of Cuba City, Wisconsin, died Friday, January 12, 2018, at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City. Services will be 12:00 noon Monday, January 15, 2018, at St. Rose of Lima Church in Cuba City with Rev. Bernard Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 9-11:45 a.m. Monday at the church before the service. Casey Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City is in charge of arrangements.
Pearl was born on June 2, 1918, in Mausbach, Illinois, the daughter of Quincey and Ida Mae (Deihl) Randecker. She married Sylvester T. Banfield on November 27, 1937, at St. Raphael's Cathedral in Dubuque, Iowa. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2006.
Pearl enjoyed sneaking off to the casino, long rides in the country, and playing bingo, euchre and cards with family. Her sister Rose and she made ceramic and needlework for many years. She loved her flowers and family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include seven daughters, Mary Catherine Kleiner, of Dubuque, Susie (Steve) Allen, of Monroe, WI, Irene Banfield of Cuba City, Patty Demma, of Chicago, IL, Dorie Olan, of Gainsville, FL, Sherri (Jim) Walgren, of Dubuque, and Peggy (Dennis Hying) Banfield, of Potosi; two sons, Tom (Peggy) Banfield, of Platteville, and Skip (Merrill) Banfield, of Cuba City; a sister, Mary Pearce, of DePere, WI; 26 grandchildren, 68 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Deanna Kline on May 4, 2016; a son, Dennis Banfield on December 4, 2016; three brothers, Raymond, Ralph and Junior; two sisters, Rose and Violet; and a son-in-law, Jim Kleiner.
